Students are responsible for purchasing the textbook.
Available at the CCA Bookstore on the CentreTech Campus
(16000 E. CentreTech Pkwy.).
Course Description: This
non-credit course is designed for advanced level students of English as a Second Language, including au pairs.
Students will develop both linguistic and communication skills through high interest topics related to U.S.
culture. The course will provide practice in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing,
while giving attention to grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. A Certificate of Completion will be rewarded
at the end of the course based on attendance
Attendance Policy:
The class meets for 48 hours total. This is a non-credit class, so students do not receive college credit. It is important to attend class regularly and arrive at the beginning of each class on time. Students must attend 75% of the classes, or 38 hours, to receive a Certificate of Completion. Students will also receive a letter showing the total number of instructional hours they attended.
How to Register:
Come to the Aurora Language Center office by January 28th to complete
the registration form and make payment. Non-refundable payment is due on the day of registration. Cash or
check only; make checks payable to Community College of Aurora.
The ALC office is open Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
