Learning Outcome

 

Increase from 70% of CFWD students improved computer technology knowledge to 80%

 

Measure of the Student Learning

 

Direct Measure: No significant changes

 

Indirect Measure: CFWD staff will monitor the employment placements of CFWD students who received training in computer technology

 

Data Collection

 

No significant change in data collection

 

Data Recording and Storage

 

No significant change to data recording and storage. However, additional storage will be required by the administrative assistance. Measurement records will be filed with class enrollment documentation.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting

 

Based on past reporting and student surveys, the CFWD will research adding Introduction to Microsoft Access to the Essential Skills Certificate.

 

Projected improvements for this category will be to mainstream data analysis by holding two formal meetings at the beginning and end of the seven week class sessions. CFWD staff and the class instructors will be present at the meetings to discuss pre and post test results. 

 

Decision Making and Program Change Based on Data

 

Improvement to data reporting techniques will allow for expedited program changes. Through formal meetings, student and teacher feedback, and CFWD staff discussions, any change requests will be reported in an expedited manner to the director and the Dean.

 

Student and Adjunct Faculty Involvement

 

No significant changes. The current process works very well.
