If you are ready for an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career in real estate, choose the Community College of Aurora's Broker and/or Appraiser programs. You'll receive up-to-date instruction and practical, useful skills to apply directly to the real estate market.COLORADO REAL ESTATE BROKER PROGRAM
CCA offers a certificate program in real estate that when completed allows students to sit for the Colorado Real Estate Associate Broker Examination. With successful completion of the course and the examination, graduates can buy and sell property themselves, or align themselves with a real estate firm. The program provides a strong background on the real estate industry and contains the necessary information students need to know to pass on the exam. Topics include: real estate law and practices, Colorado contracts and regulations, real estate closings, trust accounts and record keeping, current legal issues, practical applications, and more. Instructors are licensed real estate brokers with vocational teaching credentials.
COLORADO REAL ASTATE APPRAISERS PROGRAM
CCA also offers an entry-level program for real estate appraisers. Upon completion of the coursework, students may sit for the Colorado Real Estate appraisers exam and become certified as a Level 1 appraiser. A career in real estate appraising can take students many places-- banks, mortgage and insurance companies need appraisers to value properties for buying and selling while local governments need appraisers to determine taxes.

WORKING AT CCA
At a glance:
In the United States Alone there are currently 5 million plus individuals working in the various parts of the real estate industry, including mortgage banking, construction, title insurance, appraising, property management, brokerage and leasing, and real estate development. In addition to that number are the thousands of people working as commercial banking lenders, corporate real estate agents, savings and loan officers, and insurance companies who aren't officially part of the real estate industry. Because real estate serves as a guarantee for mortgages and the foundation for mass amounts of capital, more than 33% of global financial assets are connected to real estate. Real estate is an exciting and essential part of the global society.
