Mile High United Way supports STEM scholarships
The Mile High United Way has announced a gift of $50,000 to support scholarships for adult students at CCA in the Science, Technology, Math & Engineering (STEM) disciplines. 

Wagner, Caterpillar invest in CCA
The Wagner Equipment Co., in partnership with Caterpillar, has awarded the CCA Foundation $50,000 to fund operating costs for the restart of CCA’s Diesel Mechanic Program at the Lowry Campus. The program will be relaunched in July.

Johnson Foundation honored for 10 years of support
The Helen K. & Arthur E. Johnson Foundation was acknowledged at the CCA Foundation’s 2012 annual luncheon for its longstanding support of scholarships at CCA. The Helen K. & Arthur E. Johnson Foundation continues its remarkable legacy of support, and over the past 10 years has provided approximately $500,000 in scholarship funding to deserving CCA students. In recognition of this milestone, Jack Alexander, President of the Johnson Foundation, was presented with a plaque from the CCA Foundation. Over the course of this incredible partnership, close to 400 CCA students have taken advantage of the Johnson Foundation scholarship support and their own inner determination to make their educational mark and seek a brighter future.

Foundation Welcomes New Board Members
The Community College of Aurora Foundation welcomes its newest board members: Ron Miller, Jan Knibbe, Arthur McFarlane, Maureen Barker, Becky Hogan and Cynthia Latney. These six individuals bring a combined total of over 155 years of professional work experience to share with the Community College of Aurora Foundation.As the former Aurora City Manager, Ron Miller brings city management and public administration experience and currently owns his own consulting firm, Miller Municipal Consultants. Jan Knibbe is part of the Colorado home building industry and his company, Camerata Homes, builds custom and semi-custom homes in the metro area. Arthur McFarlane has a tremendous background in statistical analysis and is currently an Evaluator at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Maureen Barker is a veteran of the banking industry and is President of the Mississippi Branch of Citywide Bank. Becky Hogan has vast economic development and job creation experience and is Director of Business and Project Development for Galloway & Company, Inc., an engineering and architectural firm. Finally, Cynthia Latney has extensive experience in nursing and nursing management and is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at The Medical Center of Aurora. 

Foundation Staff Profile: Regina Edmondson
The CCA Foundation welcomes Regina Edmondson as its new Associate Director of Development. Edmondson started her career as an International flight attendant and came to the Foundation after a long history working in finance and business development. Her background is in strategic management, project management and implementation. “I attended CCA both my junior and senior years of high school, and it’s interesting to look around and see all of the growth and development of the college,” Edmondson says. “I love working at the CCA Foundation; the energy is so alive and thriving. Coming in every day knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of students and the community that I grew up in is exciting.”
