CCA is an accredited community college with campuses in Aurora and Denver Colorado

Why Giving Matters

The Community College of Aurora Foundation exists to raise money in support of the programs and services offered at the Community College of Aurora. The College’s continuing success depends increasingly on private support from all of its constituents. Your donations are used to support the following initiatives:

Scholarships and Student Support
For many students, education is out of reach because of financial constraints.  The CCA Foundation helps fill this gap by providing financial assistance to students to attend CCA through scholarships.  Your support for student scholarships, tutoring, and supplemental support services can turn educational dreams into reality.  For more information on making a donation to the scholarship fund, please contact the CCA Foundation office at 303-360-4926.

Transforming Lowry, Transforming Lives
To ensure the future of the College’s Lowry Campus, the Foundation has launched a multi-million dollar capital campaign, Transforming Lowry, Transforming Lives, to continue the conversion of this unique and historical site into a college for the future.

Home to nearly half of CCA’s students, classes and labs at Lowry are now being held in Air Force buildings that were designed and built over a half-century ago for military uses.

With private support, an attractive and highly functional setting will be created to lift the community and foster student engagement.

Relevant Programs and Technology
Our community is fortunate to be home to the industries that have been named by the Denver Metro Economic Development Council as the most promising economic development opportunities for the region. Some of the nation’s most advanced new and traditional technology companies, medical and research institutions, government installations, and redevelopment efforts surround CCA’s two campuses.

CCA must continually develop new programs, properly equip laboratories and classrooms, and attract and retain qualified faculty to ensure that these industries prosper here. Private support is needed to meet these needs.

Unrestricted
Unrestricted funding allows the Community College of Aurora to pursue and proactively respond to new initiatives by meeting the most immediate needs of the College. Gifts to the Unrestricted Fund enable the College to remain flexible and strategic at all times.
