Reports To:         Director of College Communications

 

Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain Region, the Community College of Aurora is looking for an individual who can play an important role in marketing and promoting the College as it continues to grow and develop new and exciting programs.  Competitive candidates will be creative and energetic and demonstrate a passion for putting forth innovative ideas and utilizing new and up and coming marketing strategies. They will be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines and pay close attention to detail while maintaining quality service and the integrity of the College.

 

In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the individual must possess the ability to effectively  communicate, concentrate, analyze data, pay attention to detail, retain learned knowledge, instruct/teach, and demonstrate strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills. 

 

Basic Function:

Assists communications director with marketing projects by developing and designing print publications, maintaining social media networking sites and supporting the website.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will work with the communications team to contribute to concept and design of marketing materials; design brochures, flyers, catalogs, posters, direct mail pieces, newsletters, etc.; produce press ready documents; write copy for various marketing materials; support the web with graphics and content; manage multiple projects. This position is also responsible for college marketing and social networking through Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and You Tube, etc., maintaining daily/weekly communication on these sites.  The individual hired, will need to be aggressive in remaining current in the newest and latest internet social media advancement and work collaboratively within a team to analyze feasibility of the College’s participation in various social media networks.

Salary:   Beginning salary range is mid $30s to low $40s. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  CCA offers an excellent benefit plan.  Leave and holiday benefits are also included.
