Position Summary:
Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain Region, the Community College of Aurora’s Center for Workforce Development (CFWD) is looking for an individual who can put their attention-to-detail and organizational skills to good use. The CFWD plays an important role in assisting clients of the department with life skills and aids them in obtaining and maintaining gainful employment. Competitive candidates will be creative and energetic and demonstrate a passion for client and student success. They will be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines and pay close attention to detail while maintaining quality services and the integrity of the college. The Center for Workforce Development (CFWD) Program Assistant will be a flexible, dynamic individual who can assist the CFWD in providing superior customer service by carrying out the duties listed in this announcement. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft programs. The Program Assistant will work closely with staff in the CFWD program in monitoring educational status and resource needs of clients.
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the individual must possess the ability to effectively communicate, concentrate, coordinate events, analyze data, pay attention to detail, retain learned knowledge, and demonstrate strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor attendance of all CFWD participants and distribute the attendance to CFWD staff.

Create bulletins and notices based on provided information and distribute to all CFWD participants.

Act as the first point of contact for potential participants, vendors, and staff. The Clerical Assistant will also be responsible for contacting participants in CFWD programs to remind students of upcoming events, appointments, orientations, etc.

Create and update monthly client training reports and provide weekly updates to client information database.

Maintain resource information through research, community contacts, and through information provided by CFWD staff.

Assist in determining eligibility of all new participants through phone screening of incoming inquiry calls.

Provide direction for CFWD interns.

Maintain waitlist of potential participants and track income increases for previous participants.

Order and track office supplies. Maintain copies needed for orientation and other marketing events.

Attend all department meetings.

File maintenance and other record keeping responsibilities.

All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Two years clerical experience
-
Experience with scheduling
-
Experience working collaboratively with faculty and staff
-
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
-
Bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish
-
Preferred experience working within a county social services system or familiarity within a related industry of human services
-
Familiarity with community resources
-
Experience working in marketing or sales
Salary: Beginning salary range is mid $30s to low $40s. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan. Leave and holiday benefits are also included.
