The Position:

The Community College of Aurora serves an increasingly diverse community in which nearly one out of three persons speaks a language other than English at home.  In response, CCA’s college-preparatory English as a Second Language program has grown rapidly over the last few years (up 38% in the last year alone) while striving to improve program quality and rigor.

The college is seeking a department chair to lead this expanding program, continue to increase enrollment, improve student learning, better assess student language skills and program outcomes, and more closely link the program with the college’s community ESL program.
