In order to minimize personal inconvenience and interference with orderly operations of the College, the following policy has been adopted. It pertains to all College employees, visitors, and outside solicitors.

  1. On Behalf of Profit Organizations.

    1. Community College of Aurora is a non-soliciting campus. The sale, or promotion of goods and services, or other types of support for profit organizations may be permitted, but the College reserves the right to designate the time, place, and manner of the sale or promotion. The College and its employees cannot generally provide support for, nor endorse profit organizations.

  2. On Behalf of Non-Profit Organizations.

    1. The solicitation of memberships, sponsorships, pledges, etc. by non-profit groups may be permitted, but the College reserves the right to designate the time, place, and manner of the solicitations. The College can provide some support for non-profit organizations especially if the organizations purpose is related to a college program or activity.

    2. Student groups who wish to sponsor the solicitation efforts of a non-profit group must get approval of the Director of Student Life or Vice President of Student Services. Employee groups must also get approval from the Director of Student Life or Vice President of Student Services.

    3. While the solicitation by CCA students or employees on behalf of a non-profit group is not prohibited, employees and students should not allow the activity to interfere with the discharge of their duties and studies.

  3. Enforcement

    1. Overall responsibility for implementation and enforcement of this policy lies with the Director of Student Life and Vice President of Student Services.
