Just Because…

Just because

has no  rhyme or reason.

It is not a solution, nor a formula

that can explain

what cannot be explained -

what there are no words for -

It is not an attempt to disregard the validity of

of thoughts or feelings.

It does not give credence to anything specific

nor does it  have the ability to answer

how or why -

it does not answer what or when.

They are but words to express

everything, something, and possibly nothing at all -

in a way that gives the simplest of two combined words

the ability to appease

what the mind needs -

the heart must have -

the body can except -

and the soul needs for continuance.

Just because is not an attempt to ignore

the trivialities or complexities of life.

It is not an alternative to truths or lies that we cannot hide from,

nor is it a reason not to answer what must be said

or taught -

or learned -

or should be addressed.

Just because ….

is just that, just because.

It has no rhyme or reason

it is neither a solution nor a formula

that allows for easy escape

nor are they words that trap you.

They are not meant to be controlling and powerful.

The tone is not meant to be harsh or evasive,

glamorous or joyous -

improvisational -

nor inappropriate.

The words are not just excuses, nor an excuse.

It is not an answer to quit generating ideas

nor are they a reason to stop exploring new words

 worthy of  expression or explanation

true to ones own self.

The unity of these two words is not to imply

an insignificance of developmental processes

whether that be mental or emotional.

It is not a tool to confuse or manipulate.

Just because

is meant to connect and link

two simple words together to emphasis

that all things do not have easy answers or solutions

and that when joined with respect and dignity

just because is more than just a chain reaction

of differences -

and likeness -

That collaboratively they may be the only words one could possibly use to
explain personal behaviors,

personal reason,

and give justice to the unknown; the unexplainable,

to that which there are no cut and dry answers

no matter the topic.

Simply put just because is

just an answer -

a reply -

a statement -

that means just because there may be no rhyme or reason,

no solution, no answer

for why, for when, for how, for who, for what,

the question need not be disregarded or ignored

but simply used to answer

something, everything, or possibly nothing at all

by vocalizing gently, tenderly and in a dignified way,

the reason just because is,

is just because…
