Ode to Politics
You flatten your bellies, While the poor are dying in the street. You drive expensive cars, While single mothers take the bus.
You accept bribes and flattery, While workers sweat and toil. You spend your time sleeping, While soldiers get up at four.
You debate and haggle, While children are broken left and right. You open your mouth to proclaim B.S., While the people call for truth.
You hide all your sins, While others live with theirs. You waste all our air, While others fight to breath.
You aren’t bothered by this, While people cry out in anger. You are the one, who needs to be judged, Along with others of your kind.
