Essential Skills for the Workplace Certificate

The Center for Workforce Development offers the Essential Skills for the Workplace Certification Program focused on computer technology and business management. The program is designed to provide you with immediate, marketable skills and job placement assistance. The program assists you in achieving your educational and career goals.
The courses offered in this program address issues pertaining to self-assessment, stress management, work ethics, career exploration, customer service, problem solving and computer technology.
The Certificate is available to individuals participating in the Welfare-to-Work Programs or the CHOICES program. The Welfare-to-Work program offers an accelerated 9 week program with classes offered Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. The CHOICES program provides a 9 month option with classes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm-9pm.
Students interested in
the Essential Skills Certificate need to speak with their case manager in either the Welfare-to-Work or
CHOICES Program.
