Supervises:               Integrated Nursing Pathway and Health Science Programs; and may be assigned other supervisory/program responsibilities
 
The Position: 
Primary responsibility is for Integrated Nursing Pathway program and the partnership with University of Colorado College of Nursing. Develop & oversee dual advising model with college partners; oversees budget for Integrated Nursing Pathway; maintain and grow enrollment and build marketing / promotion plan for program. Maintain and grow the relationships with CU College of Nursing. Build response to the ‘80/20’ Institute of Medicine – Robert Wood Johnson Foundation initiative with community college nursing colleagues. Investigate other potential Nursing Pathway partnerships.
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • May teach one or more courses within the Nursing Pathways Program and have the ability to be appointed as an adjunct faculty member at CU College of Nursing.
  • Assist with the development of Health Sciences Programs
  • Assessing the need, resources, and graduates’ employability for current and future Health Science Program growth.
  • Develop/oversee assessment of student learning in assigned program areas.
  • Investigate and develop future health science partnerships with bachelor degree granting institutions.
  • Build relationships with health industry partners and employers
  • Assist with high school career pathways & concurrent enrollment in Health Sciences
  • Assist with enrollment in CCA Pre-Health Plan of Study.
  • Participate in publication and grant opportunities.
  • Assist the Vice President in the day-to-day administrative operations of the Nursing Pathway and Health Sciences Programs (chairs, faculty & budget)
  • Serve on the Instructional Leadership Team, attends Chair Committee, and Academic Forum.

In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the individual must possess the ability to effectively communicate, concentrate, analyze data, pay attention to detail, retain learned knowledge, instruct/teach demonstrate strong organizational skills and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in nursing
  • Ability to be appointed as an adjunct faculty member at the CU College of Nursing (part of pathways courses)
  • Teaching/training experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Broad understanding of nursing and other health science education
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Nursing or documented intent to pursue doctoral studies
  • Passion for community college education that facilitates completion of baccalaureate education
  • Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, chairs, and other units of the college
  • Leadership experience in nursing and health science professional organizations
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and success
  • Experience in program development
  • Demonstrated experience marketing programs
  • Experience advising students

Contract Specifics & Salary Range: This is a full-time 12-month appointment. Beginning salary range is anticipated to be from approximately $70,000 to $80,000. However, salary will be based on education and experience, as well as market conditions, and will be negotiated on an individual basis with the selected candidate.  CCA offers an excellent benefit plan.  Click here to see the insurance benefits associated with this position.  Leave and holiday benefits are also included.
