SUPERVISES:                       Work-study students, hourly, temporary and/or classified staff as   assigned
 
POSITION SUMMARY:        Data management and reporting for student services and serve as lead team member for day-to-day assessment testing functions
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •  Produce and distribute (on a pre-determined calendar) reports used for student communication and staff planning
  • Generate statistical and accountability reports for assessment and other student services initiatives using Banner, Cognos, and SPSS.
  • Produce ad hoc data reports for student services staff to be used in strategic planning and data based decision making using Banner, Cognos, and SPSS.
  • Oversee the college’s student assessment activities including, Accuplacer and LOEP placement tests.
  • Provide support and proctoring services to Buckley Air Force Base for CLEP and DSST and possible future assessments are required.
  • Ensure proper security of all tests and maintain the operation and condition of equipment and software housed in the assessment labs on the CentreTech and Lowry campuses.
  • Receive payment and manage reporting within the college policies.
  • Monitor test units available and purchase test units and testing supplies when needed
  • Responsible for ensuring coverage of the assessment labs year-round which includes scheduling additional testing sessions,examiners and proctors for peak periods.
  • Supervise and train assistants and proctors and maintain procedures manual.
  • Ensure assessment scores are uploaded into Banner in a timely manner.
  • Represent the college at Statewide Basic Skills Task Force meetings.
  • Manage off-site testing operations including but not limited to Accuplacer at high school sites and those for other organizations
  • Build relationship with college staff to ensure that assessment and data needs are being met.
  
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Must possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any field with data management experience
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Working knowledge of Office 2007 or Office 2010 including Access.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer/data management related field
  • One year testing and proctoring experience.
  • Ability to conduct/coordinate research studies and assist staff with reliability and validity of tests.
  • Experience with COGNOS and SPSS
  • Experience working with student records data
