Math
Day for Girls is a venue for young women to be surrounded and supported by individuals, specifically
women, that are in the fields of math and science.
Unfortunately, many young women do not pursue careers in the sciences due to
a lack of role models or because they don't know what career options are
available to them. Math Day for Girls 2010 is an
opportunity to engage your female students in a day of networking, mentoring, and fun!
The 2009 event was a great success. See our Photo Gallery for pictures from the event!

Meteorologist Becky Ditchfield joined KUSA-TV in June 2007. The St.
Louis, Missouri native made her way to Denver from Little Rock, Arkansas
where she was a meteorologist for KTHV-TV. Before that, Becky worked as a
meteorologist for a television station in Hastings, Nebraska.
Becky likes to travel but her favorite place is the Lake of the Ozarks in
Missouri. See has been interested in the weather ever since she was little.
She used to be scared of thunderstorms, but when she got older that fear
turned into curiosity. Since calculus and physics were Becky's best subjects
in high school, she decided on Meteorology as a major in college, and then
graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana with a B.S. degree in
Meteorology. She holds minors in both math and broadcasting and is a member
of both the American Meteorological Society and National Weather
Association.
She lives at home with her cat "Cody", and loves anything that has to do
with sports. She's a huge Cardinals, Rams, and Blues fan and can usually be
found near a television cheering her team on. However, now that she calls
Denver home, Becky says she may have to add a few more sports teams to her
list. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on home
projects, and volunteering for charitable organizations.
