Swedish Family Research Fair Offers Participants Opportunity to Trace Swedish Heritage
Co-sponsored by the CCA History Department and the Swedish Genealogical Society of Colorado, the Fair will offer participants a chance to trace their Swedish heritage and will provide instruction for using online catalogs and websites to access international genealogical resources.

Filmmakers’ partnership to create comprehensive documentary coverage of 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver
A creative partnership between the Colorado Film School at CCA
and the University of Colorado Denver will document all aspects of
the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver next week, and more
than 80 volunteer filmmakers representing students, faculty, and alumni
from both schools will be on the ground to record this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Black Entertainment Television’s top-rated “106 & Park”
show will broadcast live from the Community College of Aurora’s
CentreTech campus on Aug. 28 in an effort to encourage young people to register to vote.

Registration Marathon a First for Community College of Aurora
The Community College of Aurora will hold its first-ever “Dream
Starter” Registration Marathon nonstop from 8 a.m. Friday, August
15, to noon on Saturday, August 16. Free food, prizes, movies,
and live music will be available throughout the event.
