Professor’s discussion part of CCA’s Traveling Scholars Lecture Series

AURORA, CO—Community College of Aurora Chair of Arts and Humanities Amy Rell will deliver her presentation “Cuba: 90 Miles or 90 Million Miles Away?” on Friday, Oct. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in CCA’s Classroom Building, C-107, 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway in Aurora. The event, part of the college’s semester-long Traveling Scholars Lecture Series, is free and open to the public.

Located only 90 miles from the southern coast of Miami, Cuba remains a forbidden fruit for most Americans. Rell will provide a general overview on the history, culture, and politics of Cuba, and the majority of the content of the presentation will be conveyed through pictures taken from her recent travel to the mysterious tropical island.
