Observatory Open Houses

At the moment the only scheduled Open House follows the Sherlin Lecture Series presentation on the evening of April 18. More will be posted when available. Join our email alert list for notification: email list

Friday, February 19, March 19 and April 9 (after the Sherlin Lecture)

Come one, come all to this free program of observing the Moon, planets and more! All programs are free and open to the public, and each includes a talk in the Forum as well as outdoor observing as weather allows. MAP (the observatory is on the southwest side of the Fine Arts Building.

February 19

March 19:  CCA Astronomy instructor Jim Lund  will speak on the life cycles of stars at 7 p.m., followed by viewing at the observatory if weather permits. Observing targts will include the Moon, Mars and more. FREE. See the MAP. CANCELLED due to predicted major snowstorm.
