Valerie Sangiuliano, Enrollment Services, Aurora CO

Hi, I’m Valerie Sangiuliano
As Assistant Registrar in Enrollment Services, you’ll meet me when you enroll or when you’re planning your graduation. I enjoy everything about CCA, and I know you will, too. I began my journey with Community College of Aurora as a student. I had high school teachers and counselors who didn’t expect much out of me and college was the last thing I was encouraged to do. I was introduced to CCA and fell in love with education. CCA helped me understand that I was college-ready and the staff and faculty helped me earn an associate degree. Soon after graduation, I was offered employment at the college and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help others as CCA helped me.

Hi, I’m Emelda Jones
As a native of the Republic of South Africa, my position as CCA’s International/ESL Academic Advisor is particularly rewarding. Part of my daily responsibilities includes assisting prospective students with the I-20 application process and guiding them through the F-1 visa application process. Once the student arrives at Community College of Aurora, we map out a degree plan and keep in constant communication for the duration of the student’s stay at CCA. This constant communication includes helping students ensure that they comply with USCIS (U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services) regulations that pertain to F-1 visa status students.

Hi, I’m Reniece Jones
I used to be a student at CCA and loved the school so much, I decided to work here! My first job at CCA was to interpret for deaf students in 1987. My cousin is deaf, so that is how I became interested in the field. I have my AAS and BA in Interpreting. Next, I decided to get my BA and MA in Psychology. This path led me to becoming the Director of Accessibility. My mission is to help students with disabilities reach their potential. I enjoy getting to know students and how they compensate for their disability. They inspire me!
