At CCA we truly believe that we are training tomorrow’s creative leaders, artists, and thinkers. We take this responsibility very seriously and have established five fundamentals of an effective education.
5 Fundamentals of a Creative Education
We believe that in order to be successful in a creative career, individuals must understand the creative process, learn to draw, know and use the principles of design, promote themselves and their work in the marketplace, and adapt continually to new technology.
We expect a lot from our students and they rise to meet the challenge.
Our success can only be measured by the success of our students. Our faculty go out of their way to support and advise our students in reaching their creative potential. We are constantly asking, “what is best for our students?”
Being product oriented at CCA means helping our students produce excellent products that can be put into the marketplace. They may be creating a gallery show, a logo design, or a graphic novel. This means that by design, a degree from CCA is not a theoretical exercise.
We believe that real-world experience in the classroom is an excellent way to increase student learning and student success. We look for partners who can engage our students in their projects, giving our students apprenticeship opportunities and professional contacts. We find partners in businesses and non-profits, in and out of the creative industries, and just down the hall.
