Becoming an Engineer

The engineering field is as wide and varied as any field out there, thus it is important to know exactly what you want to do, and where you want to go. The website www.allengineeringschools.com lists some 21 different types of engineers, and contains lots of information about degree programs, salaries, etc.

Transferring In Colorado

In Colorado, The Colorado Community College System has articulated engineering degrees with the following schools the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, Fort Lewis College, Metropolitan State College of Denver, the University of Colorado At Boulder, the University of Colorado At Colorado Springs, and the University of Colorado At Denver.

Each of these institutions has developed a matrix that outlines the courses a student will need to take in order to transfer to that institution. Each of the matrices can be found here.

What CCA can offer

Although each of the schools listed above have very different requirements for their engineering degree programs, there are some core math and science courses taught by highly qualified faculty, including the calculus sequence, physics, and chemistry.
