If you want a headstart into the fast-paced world of law enforcement, this is where it begins! Our law enforcement graduates are working throughout the state. Many serve in leadership positions, and we are proud to have several past graduates go on to become police chiefs!

Our program is certified by the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (P.O.S.T.).  We have full and part-time academies and in our courses, you will earn academic credit toward the completion of a degree.

    Two dozen esteemed filmmakers from the world’s third-largest producer of content were embedded in an intensive four-week course at the Colorado Film School this spring. Their overarching mission: to raise professional standards for future features in Nigeria – and potentially allow their homeland to compete for international awards.

    CCA's economic ImpactA new economic impact study released May 8 revealed that the Community College of Aurora’s annual financial impact in its service community amounted to $187.487 million.

    A classic ‘Whodunnit?’ received a modern treatment when the historic Lizzie Borden case was revisited for the third installment of the multidisciplinary exercise, “CSI: Aurora" in March and April.

    Community College of Aurora has been awarded a $15,000 grant from Xcel Energy for a pilot project aimed at increasing the number of minority, low-income students prepared to earn degrees and certificates in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

    Community College of Aurora has been selected as one of 17 colleges nationally from 90 applicants to participate in the Job Ready, Willing and Able project funded by the Walmart Foundation through the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

    The City of Aurora and Community College of Aurora have enjoyed a strong partnership through the years. And with Dr. Betsy Oudenhoven now in place as college president and the rest of her leadership team taking form, Mayor Steve Hogan is hopeful that the two entities can solidify the relationship to the benefit of both parties in the short term.

  • CCCS cites academic rigor

    CCA's Translation and Interpretation certificate program has been cited for excellence by the Colorado Community College System not only for its work within the classroom, but also for its students' successful transition into the marketplace.

    Marketing efforts, word-of-mouth, and a revised scheduling blueprint has helped grow the program over the last year.
