COURSE DESCRIPTION: |
|
|
|
|
CIS 118: This course introduces computer concepts and components, as well as coverage of application-suite software and the Internet. It also includes descriptions of and hands-on experiences with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, operating environments and other common PC application packages. CIS 161: Focuses on the development of presentation graphics materials including graphs, charts, illustrations, and diagrams. It also emphasizes effective communication through computerized presentations and covers features of PowerPoint and effective presentation techniques. |

HYBRID DESCRIPTION: |
|
Hybrid courses offer the convenience of an Internet course with the opportunity to meet face to face with the instructor and classmates. Although all of the work can be done through the internet, scheduled meeting times will be published for each course. There may be mandatory onsite meetings for some courses to complete course requirements. |
