COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

This course surveys events, trends, peoples, groups, cultures, ideas and institutions in North American and United States history, including the multiple perspectives of gender, class, and ethnicity, between the period when Native American Indians were the sole inhabitants of North America and the American Civil War.  A principal focus of this course is on developing, practicing, and strengthening the skills historians use while constructing knowledge in the discipline

HOW TO GET STARTED:

 

When you are first able to log in please do the following:

1. Run the Browser Tune-up – it will help to make sure your hardware/software combination is totally compatible with WebCT Vista.

2. Click on the link that says “Start Here”

3. Take the time to play with the course web, look through the pages, try the links, and learn to become comfortable before any assignments are due.

4.  There is a Welcome Assignment. When you have found that, please follow directions and complete. It is an ungraded assignment, but lets me know you hare actively participating and have worked your way through the course web.
