This course includes a brief review of intermediate algebra, equations, and inequalities, functions and their graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, linear and non-linear systems, selection of topics from among graphing of the conic sections, introduction to sequences and series permutations and combinations, the binomial theorem and theory of equations

Lial, Hornsby, Schneider:  College Algebra and Trigonometry, 3^rd edition

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

A handheld graphing calculator is required.  The course is based on the TI-83, TI-83+, TI-84 or TI-84+ (silver editions are fine).  Be sure you have the manual that comes with the calculator.  If you use another graphing calculator, you are completely responsible for knowing how to use the various programs on it.

REQUIRED HARDWARE/ SOFTWARE:

The course is not accessible until the first day of the semester.  Be sure that you have your Banner login information.

On the first day of the semester, be sure that you have the correct textbook and course material in your hands.  There are deadlines and you need to have the textbook so that you can start on the assignments the first day of the semester.

On the first day of the semester, login to the course using your Banner username and password and begin familiarizing yourself with the course by clicking on the links and reading the information.  A good place to start is by reading the information in the Course Information link
