COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

This course surveys events, trends, peoples, groups, cultures, ideas and institutions in North American and United States history, including the multiple perspectives of gender, class, and ethnicity, between the period when Native American Indians were the sole inhabitants of North America and the American Civil War.  A principal focus of this course is on developing, practicing, and strengthening the skills historians use while constructing knowledge in the discipline.

HOW TO GET STARTED:

 

When you log into BBVista (Or Desire2Learn) there are initial steps to take, including approving the Java certificate, disabling your pop-up blocker, and running a browser check. Please do this before you even log into your courses.

 

Once you enter my course, there are several links on the Home Page. One will be titled “Start Here”/Intro Module. You will need to completely readthrough that module and take the assessment before you can see any of the rest of the course modules. The Intro module includes the syllabus, the course schedule and many other important materials you will need to be successful in this course.
