*

The Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act (PSEO) lets qualified high school juniors and seniors take CCA college classes for both high school and college credit and get tuition reimbursement from their school district.

q     Complete the Statewide Agreement and obtain all required signatures.  Pick up the PSEO packet from your High School Counselor.

q     Apply online for admissions – Please provide information concerning your parent or legal guardian’s residency in Colorado.  Aurora and Denver Public Schools students must complete the CCA paper application included in their packet.

q     http://www.ccaurora.edu/start/parents/coflogoicon.gifApply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) online at https://cofweb.cslp.org/cofapp/ (opens in new window).  This step will require the student’s Colorado driver’s license, Colorado driver’s permit, or Colorado state ID information.

q     Provide ACT or SAT scores.  If ACT or SAT scores are not available, students can take the Accuplacer at CCA.

q     Choose your schedule with an advisor.  Advising is done on a walk-in basis Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 6:00pm and on Fridays 8:00am – 5:00pm.  The last students are seen 30 minutes prior to closing.

q     Register for approved classes with Cheryl Tomlinson or another staff member in Enrollment Services.  Students are not allowed to self-register.

q     Pay:

·        Students in Aurora Public Schools and Denver Public Schools will pay for books; tuition and fees will be billed to the school district.

·        Cherry Creek School District students pay for classes up front and are reimbursed for tuition upon completing courses with a grade of “C” or better.  Books and fees are not reimbursed.  To be reimbursed for tuition, please turn in a copy of your grade report to your high school.  Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch will pay for books and fees; tuition will be billed to the school district.  Free or reduced lunch paperwork must be attached to qualify.

All paperwork is turned in to Cheryl Tomlinson at the Community College of Aurora, 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway, A102, Aurora, Colorado 80011.  Some schools choose to have all paperwork turned in to the school and then forwarded to CCA.  Please email Cheryl.Tomlinson@CCAurora.edu or call 303 360-4705 with any questions.
