Academic advising is a key element to your success. Through regular contact with an academic advisor, students are assisted in planning educational goals, completing degrees, and achieving successful transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

Advising is available on a drop-in basis, Mondays through Thursdays, 8-5:30, and Fridays, 8-4:30 at both the CentreTech Campus, 303-360-4797, and the Lowry Campus, Building 903, 303-340-7093. Online advising is available at Enrollment@ccaurora.edu.

Our Mission

The primary purpose of the CCA Advising Center is to assist and empower students in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with their life goals. The ultimate responsibility for making decisions about educational plans and life goals rests with the individual student. The Advising Center should assist by helping to identify and assess alternatives and the consequences of decisions.

New Student Advising

All new degree-seeking students are required to contact an academic advisor to discuss goals and degree program requirements. Students enrolling for job upgrade or personal development are encouraged but not required to see an academic advisor. Degree advising guides can assist students in planning the right courses on the Programs and Classes link

New students are also encouraged to register for the fall semester College 101 (AAA 101) to learn all the essentials of becoming a successful college student.

Continuing Student Advising

Advising for continuing students in good academic standing is not mandatory, except for financial aid and international students (F1 status). All students should maintain contact with their academic advisor so that optimum benefits from their educational program can be achieved.

Online Advising

CCA offers online advising to answer your advising questions when you can not come to campus. Replies are usually provided the next business day. CCA students must use their College email account to send your student number or full name and date of birth along with your question to Enrollment@CCAurora.edu.

You can email unofficial transcripts for placement, ask questions about degree programs, class requirements, campus contact information or any other question related to registering and taking classes at CCA. CCA’s online advisor has over 10 years experience with CCA and will assist you with your online questions.

Before sending an email, check out students’ FAQs first. Many students find their answers here:  Frequently Asked Questions page or Glossary of College Terms.
