Veteran's Information
![]()
Welcome to the Community College of Aurora's Veteran's information page. This page is designed to expedite your application for VA benefits. The Veterans' Administration has approved each of CCA's degree and certificate programs, allowing veterans to receive benefits for any of those programs. To apply for VA benefits, please follow the instructions below and submit the appropriate forms and documents to the CCA Veterans' Advisor. Some of the forms are downloaded from the Veterans' Administration web site. If they are not available or if at any time you have questions about the Veterans' page, the application process, or VA benefits, please contact me at 303-360-4706 or by email at Tom.Dury@ccaurora.edu.
Step One
If you have not already done so, complete a
CCA Application online.
Note: CCA requires an assessment test for English and Math unless you have SAT/ACT scores within the last two years or a college transcript that has English and/or math coursework. Assessment test scores must be less than five years old. You should plan to take the assessment as early as possible before enrolling in classes. The assessment is given in the Enrollment Services Center at the CentreTech campus or at the One Stop office, Building 903, at the Lowry Campus. The combined English and math portions of the test take approximately 90 minutes; the assessment is given on a walk-in basis and there is no charge the first time you take the test.
Step Two
Review the list below to determine the category of benefit for which you are eligible. Click on that chapter
and follow the directions. To access the forms within the links you may need to download the free
Acrobat Reader.
