Commencement/Graduation
The Community College of Aurora’s Commencement Ceremony is held annually in the month of May. The Ceremony is a terrific time to celebrate your earned degrees and certificates with your fellow graduates, families, friends, faculty and Community Leaders.
Participants of the Commencement Ceremony are graduates of the preceding summer, fall terms or expected graduates for the current Spring term each year (example Summer 2008, Fall 2008 and current Spring 2009). We encourage all graduates to participate in the Ceremony. The ceremony is free for graduates and guests. The only costs incurred by the student is the regalia (cap & gown). The college covers all other costs.
The upcoming 2008-2009 CCA Commencement Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Arapahoe County Fair Grounds Event Center located near Quincy and Gun Club Road at 25690 East Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO, 80016.
Cap & Gown Purchasing dates will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
All graduates from Summer 2008, Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 will receive a letter of invitation for the Commencement/Graduation Ceremony with details by the end of the first week of March. The majority of communication with graduates will be sent through the new Student Email Accounts.
The 2007-2008 Commencement Ceremony was held May 9, 2008 in the Convention Center of the Crowne Plaza hotel on I-70 and Chambers. We had approximately 1900 guests and graduates in attendance. The night was spectacular.
