Journal Article Document Email Delivery
- Can you receive email attachments? Do you know how to view a .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat? If so, the CCA Library can send journal articles to you electronically. It’s fast, easy, and convenient. To receive a journal articles electronically email the librarian at library@ccaurora.edu Give as much information about the article as you can, including the title, author, journal, and date published. Turnaround time is approximately 3 days.
Instructional Resources-Audiovisual Materials
- The CCA Library has over 2,000 videos for use in classes by faculty for instruction. These videos check out to Community College of Aurora faculty for one week. Videos do not check out to students and community members but can be viewed in the Instructional Resource Center. CCA faculty can reserve videos in advance of planned classroom showings and make arrangements to pick up and return videos by contacting the librarian (call 303-340-7575, or email at library@ccaurora.edu).

Library Orientations for your classes
- Instructors can schedule one hour Library orientation sessions for their classes on topics covering our catalog, databases (with full text journals), online search strategies and more; coverage of specific topics can be arranged. Either email the librarian library@ccaurora.edu or call the Library at 303-340-7575 ten days in advance to set up a Library instruction class or to obtain more information.
Library Tour for Individual Faculty
- If you are a new instructor to CCA, or just want a refresher, you can arrange a walk through of your subject area and review of library services with a librarian. A demonstration of our databases for your subject area is also available. Call 303-340-7545 or email the librarian at library@ccaurora.edu to arrange a tour.
- The National
Science Foundation has awarded a grant to the Community College of
Aurora for support of a project titled Community College GIS Faculty
Institute. Under the direction of CCA faculty members Dr. Geoff Hunt and
Elizabeth Hirsh, the Institute is training CCA faculty across the
disciplines in the application of Geographic Information Systems
technologies for implementation in the classroom.

Reserve Collections
- The Reserve Collection contains course specific materials located at the library information desk. These materials are for use by students in the Library only. While some overnight checkout formats are available, short-term checkout from thirty minutes to two hours is the norm. Please allow Library staff 24 hours to process the material. Interlibrary Loan
- If you need a book or periodical article that the Library does not own, we can get it for you from another library via our interlibrary loan service (ILL). Call 303-340-7545 or email the librarian at library@ccaurora.edu for more information.
