TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) is a program designed to help eligible students earn a certificate or associate's degree and transfer to a four-year school to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, TRiO SSS offers an array of services designed to make your college career a success. From an assigned TRiO SSS Advisor who is dedicated to your success to supplemental tutoring and success workshops, participation in TRiO will help you to make the most of your college education.
Research tells us that students who participate in TRiO SSS programs are more likely to find success in college. Space is limited to 160 participants.
The Community College of Aurora’s TRiO Student Support Services program provides comprehensive academic support to selected first generation, low-income college students and students with disabilities to foster individual achievements and overall successes.

TRiO Student Support Services is funded through a US Department of Education federal grant program. For Academic Year 2015-2016 the TRiO SSS program is 100% funded at $219,998. For academic year 2016-2017 we are scheduled to be funded for $226,598. Each year the program serves 160 students.
