The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IR) at the Community College of Aurora (CCA) is a dynamic, responsive office supporting data and assessment needs across the college and promoting evidence-based decision making to improve overall institutional effectiveness.
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness is responsive to the research and assessment needs of multiple constituents across the college. Staff members collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Fiscal Affairs, and other programs and administrative offices to achieve CCA's strategic goals and the goals of college units. IR has been working with the CCA Data Advisory Committee on a set of definitions to help with understanding terms commonly used in IR reports. It is a living document that will be updated frequently with new terms or clarification for existing terms. The CCA Data Advisory Committee will continue to advise IR on adding terms and modifying definitions for clarity and understanding.
