International Day for Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition

August 23rd is the International Day for Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. We will be remembering this dark chapter of human history while celebrating its ending. Learn more about this by visiting our tables. On CentreTech from 10:30am - 12:30pm outside and between the Student Center and Admin Building. On Lowry from 1pm - 3pm outside of the West Quad, towards the courtyard. Trivia, treats, music, and more!

Please join us for a conversation with local immigrant community leaders, advocates, and organizers to discuss the recent immigration concerns and your rights as a citizen. Resources will be provided. Family and community members are welcome.

IE Updates

August 2019: Please explore the following PowerPoint that highlights the accomplishments and areas of growth for IE at CCA.

May 2019: CCA was selected to be a participant in the Foundation for Student Success grant project (FSS).  Faculty and staff applied for an received mini-grants to advance Inclusive Excellence at CCA and contribute to the success of our students.  This  details how funds were utilized and the amazing work that transpired over the last year.  We are proud of the work the community accomplished with supporting the students and the institution.

2019 Student Climate Survey: In February 2019, a climate survey was distributed to the CCA student community to better understand the perspectives of CCA students on a variety of topics and issues concerning equity, diversity and Inclusive Excellence at the Community College of Aurora.
