An illustration of hands placing ballots in a ballot boxIf you are interested in making the college aware of student concerns and building relationships, then the Student Government Association is for you!

Student leadership looks really good on scholarship applications and college application as well. I encourage you to join CCA's Student Government Association today get involved and to have an impact at CCA! SGA elections are April 9-13 but you have to sign up to run by April 2.

Here is what I have done while part of SGA and why you should consider running for office.

I joined the SGA group during the fall 2017 but I really wished that I had joined sooner because it has been a fun experience.

I have learned a lot about how the school works and how to plan events.

CCA faculty Michael Pickering and the Red Fox point at the cameraThe Community College of Aurora is a place where everyone is welcomed and accepted as an individual and a student.

CCA's Student Government Association tries to accomplish this by trying to include students, faculty, and administration in any decisions and events held at CCA.

We are a very diverse school and we would like to celebrate this diversity by hosting a week-long event called CCA Spirit Week. One of SGA's goals when events are hosted is to have as much student involvement as possible and we are inviting every student to celebrate Spirit Week by being involved and participating with us.

CCA Spirit Week will begin on March 6th through March 9th. It will be a fun and exciting week with activities and themes planned for each day.
