Training and Exercises

The DMI trains diverse groups and agencies ranging from small specialized military teams to large interagency, multi-jurisdictional groups involving hundreds of individuals spanning a variety of roles within the emergency system. EMTs, firefighters, hospital workers, police, city and state emergency managers, national guard and military personnel have all benefited from DMI training.

Training exercises and simulations are scalable for small groups and large multi-agency coordination and include:

  • Rope, confined space and structural collapse rescue
  • WMD CBRN (Chemical, biological, Radiological, Nuclear) agent threat response
