Grant Funding and Community Support

CCA leadership, faculty, staff and students are grateful to the following funders for their generous support. CCA’s Office of Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development identifies and pursues opportunities for federal, state, local, and private grant funding to support our vision of being the college where every student succeeds. Grants provide a critical supplement to institutional resources and enable CCA to provide robust student support services, award scholarship funds, innovate in instruction and inclusive practices, align with key industry partners, and enrich student experiences with extra-curricular activities. 

What Grants Fund at CCA

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) scholarships and student supports
  • Hands on science, engineering and robotics workshops, research and interactive learning opportunities, and sponsored competitions
  • Adult basic education and high-school equivalency
  • Citizenship instruction
  • Scholarships with extra advising, tutoring and college navigation assistance
  • College success and completion support for under-represented student populations such as English-language learners, students of color, and first-generation students
  • Suicide prevention and mental health services
  • Outreach, enrollment and completion supports for student parents including child care assistance
  • Culturally inclusive pedagogy development and implementation practices
  • Redesign of calculus and other math courses and math progression pathways
  • Design and launch of student learning communities organized around specific guided pathways
  • Seed funding to support start-up business launches for student entrepreneurs
  • Enrollment of concurrent enrollment students in Google’s IT Support Professional certificate program
  • College readiness, summer programming and college enrollment support for high school students
  • Extra-curricular activities such as Model United Nations 
  • Industry partnerships and workforce development programming
  • Educational and library materials, including development and use of open educational resources
  • Emergency relief for students, including relief related to the COVID-19 crisis
  • Health equity and tobacco-free campus initiatives
