Community College of Aurora offers two certificates in its Construction program - Construction Estimating and Construction Superintendent.
The field of construction management is booming in the Aurora and greater Denver area - CCA's Construction Management program offers students an opportunity to earn a certificate in two growing fields: construction estimating and construction superintendent.
The Construction Management programs are provided by in partnership with the Colorado Homebuilding Academy.
Colorado Homebuilding Academy is an industry-driven training organization with a mission is to build proud, meaningful careers for a talent-rich workforce across Colorado's crucial construction industry. The Academy serves students through job placement and practical, hands-on training that aligns with current needs of construction employers. The Academy aims to help students find careers that match their interests and talents so they can make the most of the vast opportunities in construction.
The Construction Estimating Certificate prepares students for jobs costing and bidding various types of projects in the construction industry, including residential and commercial projects. Upon completion of the program, students will demonstrate the ability to estimate materials and labor quantities needed for different sizes and types of projects, read residential and commercial blueprints, use building trade industry reference materials, apply expense and revenue assumes to generate a competitive project cost, and write up a clear and compelling bid document or proposal.

The Construction Superintendent certificate prepares students for management and leadership roles in residential or commercial construction projects. Demand for professionals skilled at supervision and labor/material deployment, and versed in blueprint reading, residential and commercial industry code is projected to remain strong through 2023 and beyond.
