Conflict, Assistance, Resources & Empowerment

The CARE Team’s purpose is to provide a cross-functional, multidisciplinary point of contact for members of the college community who have encountered concerning student behavior. The team will act promptly to follow-up with the individual initiating the report, determine if there has been any additional warning signs or reasons for concern (such as student code of conduct violations or classroom incidents), and meet with the student to develop a plan. Our intent is to be caring and preventive. For more detailed information please visit the C.A.R.E. website.

Crisis Help – Mental Health Referral

Becoming a student can often add more stress to an already busy lifestyle. If you find that personal problems are interfering with your education, CCA’s on-campus and referral program can help you find the help you need. CCA has contracted with a local counseling center to provide free problem solving sessions and reduced rates for additional sessions when referred directly to Aurora Mental Health. All information discussed in the referral is confidential and your anonymity is protected.

Safe & Anonymous Reporting

SAFE TO TELL™ is designed to help YOU – students, teachers, and parents – anonymously report anything that is scaring or endangering you, your friends, or your family. You never have to give us your name. In fact, Colorado State Law guarantees you will remain unknown if you choose (COLORADO REVISED STATUTE 16-15.7-101). We want to make sure our schools and communities are safer by focusing on prevention. If you’ve seen something suspicious, been bullied, feel threatened or noticed that a friend needs help, contact us.
