Community College of Aurora Testing Center Mission Statement

 

The Community College of Aurora Testing Center administers placement, online distance education, credit for prior learning and certification tests, to students, the community, and the military and their families. Test administration is done in a professional, positive and distraction-free environment in order to promote academic success and career advancement.  The CCA Testing Center locations adhere to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines.


Student Testing

New Students: Determine your Course Placement!

  • Complete the English Self-Assessment questionnaire. This will determine the English course you can take during your first semester.
  • Complete the Math Placement form. This will determine the Math course you can take during your first semester.
  • The ESL LOEP Accuplacer Test will determine the ESL courses you can take during your first semester. This placement test is intended for non-native English speakers.

The Testing Center offers a variety of exams to CCA students and the community. Please select an exam below for more information. 

Make-up exams for current CCA students are proctored at the Library located in the StudentCentre S202. They can be reached at 303-340-7542 or via email at instructor.testing@ccaurora.edu

Proctoring Services >

In response to COVID-19 safety restrictions, we have temporarily suspended administering on-line/distance educational testing for other institutions. 

The CCA Testing Center is a participant in the Consortium of College Testing Centers for distance learners. We can work with your organization to provide a quiet testing space for your proctoring needs. 

Proctoring services are only offered on the CentreTech Campus for a fee of $25 per test. Complete 6 easy steps to take your test at CCA.

Send CCA placement scores to another college. 

If you took the Accuplacer or the CCPT with the Community College of Aurora, and need your scores sent to another college, please complete the online Score Release Request form

Do I need to schedule an appointment to take a test at the Testing Center?
Yes. Testers must schedule their appointment(s) online at least 24 hours in advance.
What are the Testing Center Hours of Operations?
Hours of operations vary based on location. Schedule your appointment and select your location to view specific hours.
What do I need to bring?
A government issued ID, student number (if CCA student), and a method of payment for the exam fee.
Examples of valid government identification are:

Valid Colorado Driver's License or Permit

Valid Colorado Identification Card

Valid Out-of-state Driver's License or Permit

Valid U.S. Passport

Foreign Passport with photograph

Military Identification or Common Access Card (CAC)

Certificate of Naturalization with photograph

Certificate of Citizenship with photograph

Valid I-551 (Green Card)

Valid EAH/Temporary Resident

Refugee/Asylee I-94 with photograph

BIA Identification Card with photo

Veterans Administration (VA) Card with photograph

School Identification Card (Valid for ACCUPLACER)

Government-Issued Identification Card with a photograph

If I need to pay for my test, what methods of payment does the Testing Center accept?
We accept cash, credit card, and check. Saturday payments must be made with a credit card or in exact change. All fees are non-refundable.
Can I take my test at the Buckley Air Force Base, if I'm not in the military?
No. Testing is only available for active duty military members, their spouses, and DOD civilians.
