Requirements for Testing at Home 

  • A computer with a webcam, this can be a desktop or laptop.
  • Internet access
  • One of the following valid photo IDs:
    • Driver's license 
    • State-approved or federal ID
    • Military ID
    • College ID
    • High school ID
    • Middle school ID
    • Passport 
    • Tribal ID
    • Naturalization card or certificate of citizenship 
    • College Board Test Taker ID Form
  • An isolated room
  • A credit card for payment
*Smart phones, iPads, and tablets cannot be used to take the Accuplacer test remotely. 

Additional instructions will be sent to your email, after you schedule your appointment. The testing session is hosted through WebEx.

Appointments are typically available Monday through Friday between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule your appointment on our scheduling web page.

Each section attempt costs $5. The full test is $10. 

Students who select remote testing will pay the non-refundable test fee when they make their appointment on RegisterBlast. A credit card is required to make to the online payment. If you are unable to pay with a credit card, please contact the Testing Center by emailing 

Students who select on-campus testing will pay the non-refundable test fee when they check-in for their appointment. We accept credit card, cash, and checks on-campus.

For non-CCA students, the full test costs $25. 

Retest Policy

Students may retest after a minimum of 3 days and can take each section twice in a three year period.

  • Part 1: Language Use (multiple choice)
  • Part 2: ESL WritePlacer (essay) and Reading Skills (multiple choice)
