Our Mission

The Community College of Aurora Testing Center administers placement, online distance education, credit for prior learning and certification tests to students, the community, and the military and their families. Test administration is done in a professional, positive and distraction-free environment in order to promote academic success and career advancement. We subscribe to the NCTA standards and guidelines.


  • We have resumed regular hours and will be open only on the 2nd Saturday of each month. 
  • There will be no testing at Lowry on January 27th and 28th, 2016.
  • Since October 28th, 2015, CCA has moved to the CCPT assessment for placement and  offers testing by appointment only. Placement testing (CCPT or ESL LOEP) will require an appointment.
  • The following DSST exams are no longer available: Business Law II, Intro. to the Modern Middle East, Physical Geology, Principles of Financial Accounting, and Western Europe Since 1945

CCPT - Placement test - all new CCA students will need to have CCPT or LOEP results in order to place into courses. 

LOEP (ESL) Accuplacer - Placement test - all new CCA students must have Accuplacer or LOEP results in order to place into courses.

CLEP/DSST- Tests that award college credit for prior learning
