A new era was officially ushered in for the Community College of Aurora at the college’s annual Celebrating Connections event Tuesday night, Oct. 19, at the Hyatt Regency Aurora hotel.

Did you know that CCA offers low- or no-cost textbooks and class materials for certain classes?

Yes, it’s true – and you can access these materials for upcoming fall classes!

Through a grant from the Colorado Open Educational Resources Council and the Colorado Department of Higher Education, CCA has developed free or low-cost materials for five courses.

These courses include general education classes in subjects such as English, History, and Sociology.

Financial aid may seem difficult or hard to understand, but the good news is it doesn’t have to be!

The Community College of Aurora offers financial aid advising to help students answer tough questions about paying for college, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and get the answers they need to make important decisions about their futures.

Any student (or their parent) who wants to know more about CCA’s financial aid options should remember these six things:
 

1. Fill out the FAFSA as soon as possible.
