Welcome! Thank you for visiting our page and for your interest in recruiting CCA Students! Our team is here to help you develop and execute your recruiting strategy. The first step in getting started is to make sure you have a user account in our Career Corner database.
This account will allow you to start posting positions and get notifications when we have industry-specific events or when it's time to register for Career Fairs!
CCA Career Services uses Purple Briefcase as our main means of sharing job and internship opportunities with our students and alumni, and we are pleased to invite you to join as well! This is the same platform used by our sister Colorado Community Colleges throughout the state.
This tool has been developed for you to post jobs and internships online for our students to connect with you, simplify on-campus interview processes, and to keep you connected by notifying you of on-campus events such as Career Fairs and when to register!
You can create your FREE account today at Career Corner
Since this is likely a new platform for you, we want to give you a few quick tips:
1. Build out your profile! Students can follow your company’s actions within the site, and a full profile attracts much more attention than an empty one. Don’t forget to upload your company’s logo! All of this is managed on the My Profile page of your Purple Briefcase account.
2. Once we’ve approved your connection, you’ll receive a notification email to the address that you used to create your account and then you’ll be ready to post opportunities with us. When you go to post, please be sure to set the status of the job or internship to Submit and then click Save at the bottom of the page when you are finished. This will submit the opportunity to our team. We’ll review it and then set the status to Published for our entire community to see!
Community College of Aurora has adapted the Guided Pathways model, we have 6 different core areas or "Pathways" for our students to study to help them streamline their college experience and develop goals that align best with their interest and academic focus areas. Our Guided Pathways consist of:
To better access students studying in areas that may be most relevent to your needs, when completing your Career Corner profile, please select the Pathways that are most relevant to your needs!
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all on-campus recruiting events including the Spring Career Fairs have been CANCELLED. However, we would still love to partner with you to connect you with our students! You can do this by registering and connecting with us in Career Corner by Purple Briefcase to post any positions you have, scheduling a Q&A with us to post and share with our students, or sponsoring a virtual information session on a career topic that is important to your company! Reach out to Career Services to take the next step!
Spotlight Tabling- we set you up in a well-populated part of the campus and you have full reign to draw students in to talk with you and tell them about the opportunities you have in your company and schedule interviews. (Think of it as an informal career fair featuring you!)
Contact Erica directly to schedule a time after reading the Employer Spotlight document which provides information about pricing, times, and schedules.
Career Fairs- CCA brings a different approach to Career Fairs. Our fairs provide employers the opportunity to connect with students who are most relevant to their industry. Rather than all-college career fairs. We focus on Pathway specific fairs to target students in the majors that align with the Career Pathway your organization falls under.
You can sign up for career fairs as they become available through Purple Briefcase.
Panel/Employer Mixer Events- Serve on one of our employer panels or an employer mixer event! These events are specific to departments and majors that align with your hiring needs and allow you to provide a brief window into the work you do and how it may vary from similar employers as well as provide quick tips on how to be successful as students complete their coursework and graduate or transfer to a 4-year university. These events also include a mixer portion at the end of the formal portion of the event for you to talk one-on-one with students and answer their questions about your line of work.

Host a Workshop/Event- Do you have a specific need? Wish there was something your employees knew before starting the job? Whether it’s communication, workplace professionalism, leadership, or another topic your organization takes pride in and strives to hire for- you can work with Career Services to host a workshop on campus to ensure our students are fitting your hiring needs in characteristics and skills outside of their academic training!

Externships! (Site Visits/Tours/ Shadowing Opportunities)- Want to bring students into your space to talk about the work you do and give them a sneak-peek about what it means to work at your organization? Particularly with the next generation of students coming in- the ability for a student to envision themselves in a particular environment is critical to their career decision making process and could help you retain your employees longer by providing that little piece of extra time with students to help them see what a career with you could look like! Site visits are one of the top ways for students to get a taste of what you’re all about and for you to get to know the student before taking the next steps.
