International Students

Welcome to the Community College of Aurora (CCA)!

CCA is a state-sponsored community college offering two years of college/university education and vocational/technical programs. CCA is approved by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Who is considered an International Student?

International students are considered current or aspiring non-immigrant F-1 Visa holders. All other visa holders are not considered international students. 

Degree Programs

CCA offers Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree programs.

Student who intend to transfer to a four-year university are recommended to pursue an AA or AS degree.

Students who do not intend to transfer to a four-year university, can choose to pursue an AAS degree. AAS degrees are designed to prepare students for entry-level employment or for upgrading/stabilizing employment. International students can choose to pursue a certificate program, in addition to pursuing their Associate degree.

Application Deadlines

The application and approval process can take up to 6 months for first-time applications and approximately 30 days for transfer applications. We will not issue I-20 after the deadlines below:

Students must be in contact with the international DSO or PDSO, before the application cut-off dates. No new or transfer students will be accepted after these dates.

Estimated Cost of Tuition and Living Expenses

The following expenses are based on Fall and Spring semesters with 12 credit hours per semester.

The approximate cost of attending CCA as an international student is $18,500 per year PLUS an estimated $18,150 in living expenses. F-1 Visa students are classified as "Non-Resident" for tuition purposes. The estimated cost for one year as an International Student is $36,650.00*.

*Additional documentation of $4,000 for a spouse and $2,500 for each child is required if the spouse/child(ren) will join the student in the US.

**Medical insurance costs are determined by student age. The actual amount may vary.
