POSITION TITLE: Events & Enrichment Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Art & Design Full-Time/Regular Faculty
SUPERVISES: None Assigned

The PositionThe Art and Design Department at the Community College of Aurora seeks a project manager to plan, coordinate and implement 6 (to 10) events and student enrichment opportunities per year. The project manager would work with department leads, faculty and staff to ensure events and enrichment opportunities align with department mission and academic goals.

The stipend for this position is $3,000/year. The schedule is flexible and the expectation of time reflects this stipend. The project manager is expected to be present for scheduled events.

Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with department leads, Gallery Director, faculty and staff to create workshops and cultural events for the department and galleryDevelop and maintain a yearly schedule of eventsCoordinate communication (related to these events) within Art & Design Department; students; artists, and to the general populationPartner with department marketing lead to create flyers, posters, etc. as neededMaintain and work within an established budgetComplete other projects and duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or above)2-years' experience related to scheduling, project management and/or event coordinationHigh level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work independently, as well as function as part of a teamEffective time management, productivity and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule that allows meetings during the day, and the ability to attend the scheduled events

Anticipated Start Date: The successful candidate will begin work in June 2014.
