March 3, 2017 – Aurora, CO – The Theatre Department at the Community College of Aurora (CCA) will present “Paradise Park Zoo,” a playful comedy by Savannah Reich about the elephant in the room: the cages we find ourselves in and the attempts we make -- or don’t -- to be free.
This unique performance invites the audience to experience a zoo-like world where they may find themselves trapped in a cage with a fellow creature who may want to eat them for dinner. A live klezmer band will accompany the zoo-like festivities. The play will also feature a life-sized elephant puppet designed by Cory Gilstrap, nationally-recognized puppet artist. “It’s a fun and fascinating production that examines the incredible task of unchaining ourselves and pursuing unbridled freedom,” said Colleen Mylott, the play’s director. Paradise Park Zoo is a truly unique and thought-provoking theatrical experience.
