The Community College of Aurora will host the annual 9Health Fair from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, at its CentreTech campus, 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway, Aurora.
Screenings to be offered include blood count, body fat, breast, finger stick glucose, hearing, heart health, lung function, mental health, nutrition, oral health, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, skin, and stress management, as well as the popular “talk to a health professional” offering.
With more than 25 screenings available, 9Health Fair results, along with an explanation on how to read them, are delivered directly within three to six weeks. The9Health team of volunteer registered nurses and physicians will contact people within 72 hours of their 9Health Fair visit and, if necessary, provide local follow up resources if results indicate that a critical or alert health situation is occurring.
Screenings are available for free or for minimal cost to those 18 and older. Participants may pre-register or may register on site on the day of the Fair. For more information, visit www.9healthfair.org
New this year, 9Health Fair volunteers and participants at the CCA site are encouraged to bring a non-perishable, canned food item to the event to benefit the college’s Food Bank.
