Aug. 10 orientation to benefit veterans, active military, members of their families

In response to popular demand from military veterans, active military, and members of their families, the Community College of Aurora will hold a Military/Veteran Orientation on Aug. 10 to address the unique needs and educational goals of this important population.

Prospective students and current students of all ages with military backgrounds are encouraged to reserve a space now to attend all or part of the free orientation, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Room 205 of the college’s Administration Building, 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway in Aurora. Lunch will be provided.

Sessions offered will include an overview of services offered by the college’s Military/Veteran Services Center, a presentation on VA benefits and financial aid, highlights of the college enrollment process, and information on degree and certificate programs. The orientation will conclude with tours of the CentreTech and Lowry Campuses.
