Orientations scheduled for newly enrolled students at CCA

After making the Community College of Aurora their choice for higher education, newly enrolled students are encouraged to sign up for an orientation session to help them prepare for the college experience. Classes at CCA start Aug. 23, and students are encouraged to enroll now for the fall semester.

“Participating in a student orientation session can be vital to one’s success as a student,” said Angie Tiedeman, CCA director of student life. “It can be a very important ‘next step’ following the decision to enroll in college, and students will learn about the services CCA offers to help them attain their educational goals.” Tiedeman pointed out that orientation is beneficial to all students, whether they are taking classes on campus or online.

This one-time session is free to all new CCA students. Orientations will be held in the Student Centre Rotunda on the college’s CentreTech Campus, 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway, Aurora. Sessions will be held as follows:

1-4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10
5:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11
9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 13
9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14
1-4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16
9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18
5:30-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19
9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27
